Rideshare

On-demand services can be a great way to get around downtown if your commute is more than a few blocks. LYFT and UBER are readily available throughout the city.

Subway & Bus

If you can’t walk to your destination, mass transit is the next-best way to get around. A MetroCard is required to enter the subway system, while exact change or a MetroCard can be used on buses. Purchase a MetroCard at any subway station from multilingual machines.

Taxi

The City’s fleet of taxicabs is regulated by the NYC Taxi & Limousine Commission (TLC). Taxicabs operate 24 hours, provide door-to-door service and accept cash or credit cards. For yellow or green taxis, there is a minimum meter fare of $3, and prices increase based on the distance and duration of the trip.
